General Questions

What are the open hours?

Depending on the complexity of the part/components and depending on if tooling is required. A quote can take up to 2 weeks to collect all the relevant information. However, our manufacturing quotes can be done within 2-3 business days.

Design

What if I have no CAD drawings?

Not a problem, all we need is a sample, prototype, or detailed sketch of the product. We will then facilitate in designing the product so that it can be injection moulded.

I require a prototype; can you do this?

GMC Products doesn’t have inhouse capabilities to do prototyping, how we do have contacts in the industry which we are happy to pass on, or work with you through the design step.

Tooling

How long does it take to build a tool?

It all depends on the size and intricacy of the tooling. Simple tooling can be manufactured within 2-3weeks; however, some may take up to 8-10 weeks.

How expensive is tooling?

Yes, tooling is the most expensive part of injection moulding, the outright capital cost of this can often mean a project does not go ahead. However, GMC Products is capable of liaising with our China contacts in order to reduce the tooling price if required.

Manufacturing

Will GMC Products hold stock for me?

GMC Products is capable of hold limited quantities of stock. However, most times this may only be one month in advance. We do not have a capacity to hold stock for more than one month.

How long will it take to mould my product(s)?

This may vary due to the cycle time of the product and the availability of machines at the time of placing an order. Once an order is placed, our production team will contact you with an estimate lead time.

Will GMC Products pack my products to my requirements?

Yes, we are able to supply products either bulk packed in a carton size of your choice. Or if the requirement is to have the units assembled and then packages in a special manner, GMC Products will provide the final product to meet your needs.

Delivery

Can you deliver my products interstate?

Yes, GMC Products has the ability to make deliveries Australia wide.

My products require a special pallete, can you organise it?

Yes, we are able to provide a range of non-standard pallets for delivery.
